Welsh seppuku

Alun Jones so loved Japanese samurai swords that he used one to disembowel himself in his bedroom in Newport, south Wales.

He was visiting his mother during a trip back from Japan, where lived and sold samurai swords.

An inquest into his death has now determined that he died from cuts to his heart and liver. He had stabbed himself in the stomach, a ritual form of suicide known as seppuku.
