Water pollution

In New York City’s Central Park reservoir, built between 1858-62, the dead body of a man has been discovered.

The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir (to give it its full name) spreads across 106 acres and holds a billion gallons of water. No longer does it provide the water supply for NYC; it was decommissioned in 1993 amid worries that it could become contaminated.

The body pulled out of the reservoir was naked and badly decomposed.
