At least five men have been killed by being gored to death by rampaging bulls in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The bulls were released during a bull-taming ‘festival’ known as Jallikattu, which was banned in 2014 by the Indian Supreme Court. The ban was overruled last year after widespread protests.

During Jallikattu men try to ride the bulls, or grab money or gold which is tied to their sharpened horns.
