Too fat for comfort

More British people are dying as a result of obesity than ever before – about 300,000 a year, or 6% of all deaths in the UK.

This costs much more money when it comes to body disposal.

Bigger people mean bigger coffins.

A typical casket width is 66 centimetres but manufacturers are now making models up to 40% wider.

Obese bodies are filled with fat and need to be burned for longer, at higher temperatures.
