The penalty for wobbling

Terrance Sterling, 31, was rather wobbly on his motorbike in Washington D.C on 11 September.

The local police didn’t much like this so they stopped him, shot him in the neck and back – and killed him.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department say they shot him after he allegedly drove his motorcycle into the passenger side door of their police vehicle.

The officer who fired the shots did not have his body camera turned on during the incident and only activated it after firing on Sterling.

Interim Police Chief Peter Newsham said: “There is no way in the world I can tell you exactly what happened.”
