Larry Murillo-Moncada, 25, went missing on 28 November 2009. He suffered mental problems, became subject to delusions, and ran away barefoot from his parents’ home in Iowa, US. He left with nothing – no shoes, no socks, no keys, no car. It was a mystery.
But a mystery no more. His body was found in January, wedged behind a 12-foot-high freezer unit at the No Frills Supermarket where he once worked. The body was found by workers replacing the freezer, and an inquest has just confirmed its identity.
The supermarket shut down in 2016.
