The World Health Organization (WHO) says that tuberculosis is now almost as big a killer as AIDS.
In 2014 1.1 million people died around the world from TB, while HIV/AIDS did for 1.2 million. 400,000 of the latter category had both.
International funding for TB was $800,000 in 2014.
For AIDS the figure was $8 million.
