Superstitious activities

You do not want to be a fortune-teller who catches the attention of the North Korean authorities. You may well get executed by firing squad.

Reports of North Koreans being shot, blown apart by cannon, or simply starved to death, are always dribbling out of Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, but normally they feature political opponents of the regime.

But in March (it has just become known) two women who had formed the Chilsungjo (Seven Star Group) were executed and a third was jailed for life, for carrying out what the authorities called “superstitious activities”.
