Be very careful who you have sex with in Iran.
In the Iranian province of Lorestan, a court has convicted a man and a woman of adultery; they are sentenced to death by stoning. Intelligence agents spied on and covertly recorded an Islamic cleric and and a woman having sex.
According to Shari’a law a married man can have as many ‘temporary marriages’ with as many unmarried women as he likes. Execution by stoning only applies when the woman is married. The Islamic Penal Code in Iran stipulates that the adulterous man and women are buried in a ditch up to the man’s waist and the woman’s chest, and then stoned to death.
Not much stoning to death has been seen in Iran recently; the last known case was in 2009, when two men were stoned to death in Mashhad.
