In Russia’s far eastern Kamchatka region some brown bears have found a new source of food in the cemetery near the small town of Yelizovo, home to some 40,000 people.
A couple of bears have been shot and killed for ransacking more than 20 graves and feasting on their contents
Bears don’t normally dig deep enough to get to dead bodies – but the suspicion is that some shoddy work by gravediggers meant that the bodies were interred in shallow graves.
