See-through frogs

Hyalinobatrachium yaku is a newly identified species of frog, discovered in the Amazonian lowlands of Ecuador.

It’s rather unusual because it has transparent skin through which its beating heart is visible.

Better catch it while you can – apparently it’s already under threat of extinction.
