Running low on gas

In Florida Daniel and Heather Kelsey decided they would celebrate New Year’s Eve by taking some fentanyl in their SUV while their three children (aged two, one and a few months) watched a movie in the back seats.

Trouble is they took too much of the synthetic opioid and died from the overdose – fentanyl (pictured) is about 100 times stronger than morphine.

They were found expired in the vehicle, whose engine was still running. Daniel was 32 and Heather 30.

The medical examiner’s toxicology results took five months to surface to the public.
