Rat-a-tat-tat

There’s a new statue in Moscow. It’s a nine-metre embodiment of Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of the AK-47 assault rifle. He’s shown carrying a version of his gun, first produced in 1947 and which currently kills about 250,000 people a year.

At the unveiling ceremony a Russian Orthodox priest blessed the statue.
