Charlton Cash Chrisman was 40 when he died after an argument with officers at the Oklahoma County prison in April this year.
His autopsy, just published, suggest the probable cause of death was “agitated delirium due to acute methamphetamine intoxication”.
He was also bombarded with a barrage of pepper balls – about 16 of them although they were apparently “ineffective” at controlling him.
He’d been arrested the day before after crashing his truck into a local hospital.
He was the 20th inmate to die at the jail since January 2016.
