Peeling problems

An inquest has just learned that 88 year-old Gerald Keegan, from County Louth in Ireland, died on 18 August 2015 from Stevens-Johnson syndrome, also known as toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Before he died, his skin peeled away from the dermis.

Cause of death: multi-organ failure secondary to a severe peeling skin rash, due to an allergic reaction to penicillin class antibiotics.
