Mommy, mommy

Stephen King shared a cell with Errol Greene at the Winnipeg Remand Centre in Manitoba province, Canada.

At an inquest into the 2016 death of Greene, King has testified that he was playing chess with another inmate when he heard someone shout “he’s doing the funky chicken”.

He said he knew that must have referred to Greene, who suffered from epilepsy, so he rushed back to their cell  and found Greene convulsing. He said that he rolled Greene onto his side and was then locked into the cell as warders arrived.

“I said this man hasn’t gotten his medication” King told the inquest. “His last words were ‘mommy, mommy’.”
