Missouri with a bullet

The Violence Policy Center reports that Missouri is the state with the highest black homicide rate in the US, with 46.24 black people killed per 100,000. That’s almost 2.5 times higher than the national rate for black murders, and 10 times greater than the overall national murder rate.

The study of 2015 data shows that 93% of black murders were carried out by guns.

The report says: “For the year 2015, blacks represented 13% of the nation’s population, yet accounted for 51% of all homicide victims.”
