Dennis Shaw was an Oxford University professor and Keeper of the Scientific Books at the Radcliffe Science Library, part of the Bodleian Library (pictured). He died in July this year at the age of 93.
An inquest has just judged that the cause of death was mesothelioma cancer, caused by breathing in asbestos dust.
He worked at the library during 1976-1991 – during which time he supervised major building works in the 1970s.
