Have gun, will murder

In the US, for each 10% rise in household gun ownership rates there is a 13% increase of domestic firearm homicide. So says a newly published article in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.

Those states with the highest firearm ownership have a “64.6% higher incidence rate of domestic firearm homicide relative to states with lower firearm ownership rates,” says the article.

It points out that while there are several federal laws aimed at reducing domestic firearm homicide, “little has been done at the federal level to enforce these laws .”
