73 year-old Irene Collins died a few days after being bitten by a police dog, a German Shepherd called Dano, which refused to pay attention to its handler, an inquest has just been told.
It’s been four years since she died in Middlesborough, north England; four years to wait for an inquest.
A Home Office forensic pathologist concluded that she would “not have died at that time she did had she not been bitten by the dog.”
It turns out that Dano had form – 11 previous bites of people or animals.
