Does my butt kill me?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has reported that having a butt lift – using  liposuction with fat grafting to ‘enhance’ the backside – is one of the most dangerous forms of plastic surgey, with one in 3,000 patients dying as a result of the procedure.

Fat that’s injected too deep can enter your circulatory system, possibly leading to a pulmonary embolism. In the US the number of butt ‘lifts’ was 10% higher year-on-year in 2017, to 20,301 in total.
