Death by dachshunds

Tracy Garcia, 52, was outside her home in Oklahoma in early May when she was attacked by a semi-feral flea-infested pack of dachshunds.

She died from her injuries a few days later.

Police shot one dog when it charged at them – the other six were put down.

Dachshunds, stubborn little beasts, were originally bred to hunt badgers. The New Yorker writer E. B. White once said: “I would rather train a striped zebra to balance an Indian club than induce a dachshund to heed my slightest command.”
