Cliff hanger

Jennifer and Sarah Hart decided they had enough of pressure and drove their SUV off a cliff in Mendocino County, north of San Francisco, in California on 26 March 2018. They took with them their six adopted children. There were no survivors.

The verdict of the jury in an coroner’s inquest reached a verdict of murder-suicide.

The crash happened days after authorities in Washington state opened an investigation into allegations of neglect of the children. The Hart family had left their Washington home on 23 March, after a visit from social workers .
