Cadillac Frank

Where do mobsters get their nicknames from?

“Cadillac Frank”, aka Francis Salemme, is 84 and facing a charge that he abetted the strangulation of Steven DiSarro in Rhode Island; it is alleged that he stood next to his son, Frank Junior, as he did the job and Paul Weadick (not a nickname) held down DiSarro’s legs. Frank Junior died from leukemia in 1995, but Weadick is now on trial too.

The prosecutors are relying on testimony from Stephen “The Rifleman” Flemmi, who is expected to say he witnessed the murder.
