Anna Göldi, the last person in Europe to be executed for witchcraft, in 1782, now has a museum dedicated to her, in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland.

She was falsely accused of witchcraft by her employer with whom she had an affair. Fired from her post, she threatened to reveal the affair and was accused by her employer of poisoning one of his children. Tortured into making a confession, she was found guilty and her head was cut off with a sword, when she was 48.
