Some 200 kilometres west of Melbourne, Australia, Glenn ‘Colonel’ Sanders blew himself – and his house – to bits in a confrontation with police in April 2014.
He was wearing a bomb vest – and had been doing so for about a year before it exploded. He used to visit the local supermarket wearing the bomb vest.
Now a coroner’s court is trying to trace what was known about Sanders, 48, before he died. He was paranoid, says his brother, and thought he was being targeted by Indian and Nigerian scammers, who he referred to as ‘the Bundys’.
