Bees, wasps, squirrels

The mummified corpse of a man stuck 25 metres up a tree, which was discovered by accident in 2016 in Lower Silesia, Poland, has provided scientists with rich pickings.

The body was probably that of a male who committed suicide 13 years before. When it was ferried to the Forensic Medicine Department of Wroclaw Medical University, it turned out to contain nests of common wasps, honeybees and a squirrel.

It was remarkably well-preserved, largely due to the fact that the man had thoughtfully donned two pairs of trousers.
