Barking at the moon

Pankraj Bhasin, who lived in New Jersey, has been found not guilty of the murder of Bradford Jackson, 65, a neighbour. He will nevertheless spend a long time in a mental hospital.

Bhasin was found by police on 13 July 2018, with his trousers down and covered in blood outside a shop. They found the stabbed body of Jackson inside.

Bhasin said to the police: “I killed the wolf” and that there was “still time to save 99% of the moon and the planets.”

Doctors said at his trial that Bhasin was suffering from bipolar disorder with mood-congruent psychotic features.
