The death rate for Americans among 25 to 44 year-olds has increased by 8.2% between 2010 and 2015. It’s not any particular race or class – deaths increased for every five-year subgroup between 25 and 44. For Native Americans the death rate has gone up by 18% while for Whites it’s risen by 16%.
According to the Washington Post, America has gone back to the 1980s, when crack cocaine and HIV slaughtered millions. Only this time it’s opioids and alcohol.
