All the king’s horses

Get ready for a new word to add to your endless list of new media jargon: the ‘killfie’.

Apparently 127 people have died since March 2014 while trying to take a ‘selfie’. A bunch of students have busily collected data and come up with a number of unusual revelations, including for example that the number of people of selfie deaths in 2015 was bigger than the number of deaths from shark attacks.

The biggest number of selfie-deaths happened in India, with 87% of those due to drowning, though most of the deaths were due to idiots trying to take a snap of themselves at a dangerous height.
